Overview

Bharat Electronics Limited, a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Defence, has notified Advertisement No. 17556/HR/All-India/2026 dated 28.10.2026 for Probationary Engineer posts in E-II Grade.

350 vacancies: Probationary Engineer (Electronics) — 200; Probationary Engineer (Mechanical) — 150 (includes backlog; numbers may change at management discretion).

Online registration: from 28.10.2026 (11:00 AM per notification; portal may show 2:00 PM — follow live BEL page) to 18.11.2026 (11:59 PM) with fee payment online (SBI e-Pay Lite).

Selection: computer-based test (85 marks weight) + interview (15 marks); CBT shortlist for interview at 1:5 (discipline & category wise). Tentative CBT: 22.12.2026.

Posting at BEL units (Bangalore, Ghaziabad, Pune/Nagpur/Navi Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, AP units, Panchkula, Kotdwara, etc.) or anywhere in India as required. Six-month orientation/OJT; 2-year service agreement (breach: ₹2,00,000). Colour blindness not suitable for these posts.

Selection process

Stage 1: Computer-based test — 125 questions (100 technical + 25 aptitude/reasoning), 120 minutes, bilingual English/Hindi, ¼ mark negative marking.

Qualifying marks: 35% (GN/OBC/EWS) and 30% (SC/ST/PwBD) in CBT and in interview separately.

Stage 2: Interview for candidates shortlisted 1:5 from CBT (discipline & category wise).

Final merit: CBT 85 + Interview 15. Call letters and results on bel-india.in only.
