By accessing or using BharatEdit at bharatedit.com (“Service”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and BharatEdit.

BharatEdit offers free, browser-based tools to crop, resize, compress, and prepare photos for Indian identity documents, exams, and related government portals.

Processing happens on your device. We provide presets based on publicly available specifications, but we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any government body, exam authority, or portal operator.

BharatEdit is currently offered free of charge. We may introduce advertising, optional paid features, or other changes in the future, but core photo tools are intended to remain accessible without payment.

We do not require account registration to use the Service.

BharatEdit can make mistakes. Government and exam portals apply their own technical checks and human review. A photo that passes BharatEdit’s on-screen compliance hints may still be rejected by a portal for reasons outside our control (lighting, expression, outdated rules, manual verification, etc.).

No tool — including BharatEdit — can guarantee 100% compliance or acceptance. You are solely responsible for verifying that your final photo meets the latest official requirements before submission.

When using BharatEdit, you agree to:

• Upload only photos you have the right to use (your own or with permission)
• Use the Service lawfully and only for legitimate document applications
• Review output files before submitting them to any government or private portal
• Not misuse the Service for fraud, impersonation, or forged documents

You must not:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload our servers or CDNs
• Use automated bots to abuse the Service at scale
• Misrepresent BharatEdit as an official government website
• Redistribute our brand, code, or model bundles as your own commercial product without permission

The BharatEdit name, logo, website design, and original content are owned by BharatEdit. Open-source libraries and models used in the Service remain subject to their respective licences.

You retain full ownership of photos you create. We claim no rights over your output files.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

We do not warrant uninterrupted access, error-free processing, or that outputs will be accepted by any third party.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BharatEdit and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, rejected applications, missed deadlines, or financial loss arising from use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (which, for a free service, is zero).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BharatEdit from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, subject to applicable consumer protection laws that may give you rights in your home state or district.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated date at the top will reflect changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
