Overview

Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have issued Centralised Employment Notification (CEN) No. 07/2026 for Non-Technical Popular Categories (Under Graduate) posts in Indian Railways.

A total of 1,688 vacancies are notified across all RRBs for Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Clerk cum Typist, and Trains Clerk.

Online applications open on 15 October 2026 and must be submitted by 23:59 on 13 November 2026 only through the official application portal.

Last date for application fee payment for submitted applications is 15 November 2026. Modification window: 16 to 25 November 2026 (with fee; “Create an Account” and chosen RRB cannot be changed).

Choose one RRB at application time and set zone/post preferences as per Annexure B in the official notification.

Eligibility

Indian citizenship/nationality as prescribed in the notification.
Age 18–30 years as on 01-01-2027 (category-wise relaxation in notification).
Educational qualification: pass in Class 12 (or equivalent) as required for the post; final-result awaited candidates are not eligible.
Medical standards vary by post (B2, C2, A3 as listed in the notification).

Register and apply only at https://www.rrbapply.gov.in (or via the apply link on https://rrb.indianrailways.gov.in).
Select exactly one RRB and fill preferences for railway zones/PUs and posts.
Upload photograph and documents as per the notification; live photo capture may be required during application.
Pay the examination fee by the last date if applicable; use the modification window only for allowed fields (16–25 Nov 2026).

Selection process

Computer Based Test (CBT) and further stages as notified for the post.
Document verification and medical examination as applicable.
Final schedule and call letters will be published on the unified RRB website and your chosen RRB’s page.
